March Bee Blocks

Time flies so fast these days. Less than a week to April. A lot of things are ready to announce but for now about quilting bee block for March with Modern Quilters Guild of Ireland.

March’s queen bee was Sarah from Fairly Face design. She is very inspiring in a lot of way. Block she wanted us to make was spiderweb quilt. I have seen some group doing it but I haven’t done it myself. Instruction is here and Sarah’s specified request is here . It’s normally paper pieced but this one is more just scrappy strip sewing.

I had taken a photo of scrap straps before I set off but once I start sewing I forget to take anymore photos. So I can only show you the finished product 🙂

This one is gray with big flower print for the middle and pink/red for the center straps.

And this one is gray with tiny plant motif for the middle and blue for the center straps.

They are posted and received happily.

Has my scrap box been getting smaller? Not really yet.
