It’s gone a bit chilly since last week but warmer than normal year in Ireland, don’t you think?
On last Saturday I went Irish Patchwork Society’s AGM in Kilkenny. I met a lot of people and talked a lot. It was a good fun 🙂 Guest speaker in the afternoon was Dorothy Russell from Wales and her quilts are beautiful. The material she uses are interesting. I want to try some of them. I didn’t take any picture but you can see some here at Southern branch’s blog and Olena’s blog.
Over the last weekend I made this quilt to send to Irish Neonatal Health Alliance. It’s totally scrappy log cabin with overall quilting with flower motif. I just kept sewing until finished without thinking of detail of any sort which was fun and kind of relaxing. They are looking for donations until November 17th so if you have time, go for it!
I went out in the garden this morning and took some Autumnal photos but it was windy and a lot of them end up blurry. Here are some decent ones.
