Quilting on the big quilt part one.

Last week I picked these combination of fabrics for the backing of quilt. Light salmon pink flower print by Jennifer Sampou and black and white Batique.

Pinned and I started quilting by in ditch and then moved to free motion quilting on the border.

And I bound it as you can see. I move a quilt around a lot during the quilting and found the edges getting damaged. To avoid that I put binding before started quilting in the main part. Because I quilted in ditch around the border and the border itself quilted already, it won’t move. I machine stitched this binding and I still don’t like the look of it. When I finish all, I will re do it by hand.

Now time to think what to do with main part…. starting from the very middle.by slaney handcraft
